If you just want to play it live from a computer, download something simple
like VSTHost. To record however, you will need some kind of DAW. Reaper is
very cheap and works great.

To move drawbars and vibrato/leslie switches in VB3 from real controls, you
need a midi controller with sliders and switches. VB3 has a learn mode which
you can go into, just move your virtual slider then move the real slider and
they will map. It's pretty easy to set up.
