Hi Rafael,
I agree with you re netbook being the better option if it is to be used with a midi controller. So much existing software and VSTI's already written for OSX and Win 7 32/64 bit back to XP plus I feel I need at least 2 USB ports and/or quality sound card to get minimal latency and the flexibility to fine tune the VSIi's. Having said that there a couple of touch screen "convertible" laptops (the keyboard can be folded behind the screen) now on the market that nearly meet the hardware requirements and offer the touch screen convenience of a Pad that these may become the ideal option once they include a minimum of 4gig of Ram and at least 2 USB ports with the benefit of the new generation of low energy Intel chips giving a battery life of 10 more hours. These a probably a year away and a laptop will suffice till then.
Cheers
Mark

Please, anybody here, let us know when any pad ( iOS or Android) are comingwith a VST compatible layer.
Still I have put them in a "toys category"
IMO even a netbook with an AMD processor with builtin graphic processor chip and 2 or 4GB of RAM will do miracles instead
And the above will run VB3
Best,
Rafael
