I have to agree....I have worked on Behringer gear as well. They are not worth repairing and are very poorly designed.
The fact that a particular piece may sound good in a certain application is overshadowed by the reliability factor.
Those who have their products that have "lasted for years" are lucky. Behringer does make a couple of effects that
are a great value. It's their amplifier design that is flawed. I'm not trying to slam the brand but I do have experience
in this area.

I USED to repair Behringer equipment, but no more. The components are barely
up to the task asked of them and are in many cases substandard. I had a
powered euro speaker in for repair, literally blew it's little IC treble amp
to pieces after having the voice coil in the horn disembark the coil former
for a journey into the voice coil gap! The company wouldn't even furnish
repair parts. Had to buy the whole dual amplifier assembly with new
heatsink.

Well, Behringer has gotten a bad rep for some reason. Personally, I have 4
pieces of their equipment; a keyboard amp, 2 mixers and an effects unit, and
it has all performed flawlessly for many years.
