Subject:Stupid Question: hook up lower keyboard and EXP-100

Totally stupid question (I know, sorry),

Yesterday night I tried to hook up my old XK-3 system again, and I was unable to make the Expression pedal (EXP-100) work at all. I own the European XLK-3 lower keyboard (purchased Wintyer 2005/06) and the old XK-3 (purchased Jan. 2006), hooked it up dozens of times and it always worked just fine. After a long break (over a year) I simply forgot how to connect the Pedal and the two cables (one is of coutse MIDI cable and the other has on both ends the exact same pin arrangement as the EXP-100 - to connect it through the lower keyboard into the main keyboard including powewr supply . The EXP didn't work even directly into the upper keyboard (XK-3). Might just be a matter of setting the parameters.

The operation manual of the XK-3 does not contain the correct way to hook up the lower keyboard (which does jnot have its own power supply).

I had very little time to set up the system so I played an entire gig without Expression pedal. Fortunately the musical context (gospel music) allowed me to constantly adjust violume through the main volume knob 8smething I am still used to from my days as a synth player. But there is no way I will go through that again....

I would be ever so grateful if someone could help me out with information (diagram?).

Thanks a lot in advance,
Christian (blushing)
