I believe I said that it looked like a toy...
And to prove my Keytar point and how looks matter... I was showing a video of a very famous musician (who shall remain nameless) to my class of thirty 18-25 year-olds. When he stepped out from behind his B3 and strapped on a keytar, the entire class spontaneously howled with laughter...

Wrong…it was a spoof of Fernando Lamas. And although I understand the feeling and advantages of playing a B, I think that the stage aesthetic is subjective and a product of your life experience…organ size maybe a factor here but it's not the one with keys. I remember lusting after the Vox Continental because besides the sound it looked sexy. I still think it does. When my favorite bands started appearing with B3s that became what was expected on stage. I think today a lot of bands I see have Nord boards and I'm sure the young aspiring keyboard players will always find that slim red board will have a special place in their heart. Now I also feel that, as much as I still love the look of a B, it's looks more contemporary, not silly, to appear with current looking gear. I'm also surprised you call the SK1 a toy when it's got pretty much the same sound engine as the XK3c you seem to think highly of.

And for the record, i did not use the word "stupid". I believe I used the word "silly". I should have used "odd" as that is a better descriptor of how I feel seeing something that does not match the sound.
But it is more than that. It is the whole Hammond interface of a real console organ. The playing experience. They got close with the XK pro systems.... Looked right... Felt right... Sounded right... Even when compromising with only two sets of drawbars and buttons instead of rockers, it was workable for old timer Hammond players like me.
I used to perform with a Roland VK7 and hated it, yeah i could make it sound decent and play all the parts, but it was just... Well... Wrong,,,, looked like a little synth on stage... I feel the same way about the SK1 and Electro... It just does not have that classic vibe...
And remember that Saturday night live spoof they did on Ricardo Montoban,,, "darling, it's better to look good than to feel good.... And you look Marvelous!". LOL
