Yeah, that’s cool: I remember how enamored you were of the Spooky Tooth reunion when Gary was playing “Hammond” licks from his keytar.
You may go see bands, but there aren’t enough of “you” to fill a room.
So according to you guys, if you’re not playing a console Hammond (or a mighty XK3 system!), stay home, because you tastemakers have decided that the looks are at least as important (if not more than) how things sound. And wait….how many of you have stopped gigging because the gear is too much to move around anymore? (I remember you specifically David mentioning this.) Yet, every keyboardist is clamoring for smaller and lighter, and David you engineered a rig that fit in the back seat of your sports car.
You guys are so funny!
Granted, I hear what you’re saying: if you’re doing a Joey D, or a Booker T, or Jack McDuff, you BETTER be playing the real thing, not some clone through a pair of powered EV speak….oh wait, damn.
