Subject:RE: The "New B-3"
It's cheaper to buy an "old" B3 than a new one and the priced are going down all the time in this economy.
Unfortunately the weight remains the same.... :)

Subject: [CWSG] The "New B-3"
A ( unfortunately 3000 miles from one another ) friend owns the "new b-3".
is it truly significantly superior in tone to anything else out there?
It would seem the mechanical 9 contact system would be closest to the original.
The attack of a single note on a real b3 is unique- it seems "huskier" than clonewheels.
The sounds that R Groove Holmes, Jimmy McGriiff, Smith, coaxed out of the original seem impossible to emulate with a clone.
How much money has anyone here seen them for, used?
If they are still very expensive - what are considered the closest thing to the original B3?
Nord, Numa, Suzuki Xk3 etc?
