Subject:Re: Midi Controllers

I've read enough about CME problems to stay far away. Studiologic has the only other 76-key controller that I know of, the VMK176.

I've complained more than once here about the dearth of these mid-sized controllers. I'm currently using two PCR800's and Mainstage. For the few occasions that I really need more range available for piano-ish parts, I'll just set them for the same patch, two octaves apart.

I agree - the PCR800's are quite trouble-fee, and I play them hard and often. This weekend alone I had three shows in a little more than 24 hours. I toss the two of them together, and my laptop, in one 76-key gig bag with my wires and pedals in the pockets, and am in and out in minutes.
But yeah, when I hit the Lotto I'll order two VAX77's that day.
