Subject:Old clone, big bucks

Just saw an original 80's era CX-3 sell on eBay for $910...nothing
special about it...had all of the original scratchy pots, gouges, chips
and was even missing the little elastic keeper for the power cord...even
the large KORG logo on the back was partially scratched off. I thought
I was robbing the guy I sold mine to earlier this year when he bought it
off a Craigslist ad for $600 including a Hybrid case and stand...and I
only paid $800 for the newer CX-3 modeling version (os 2) with nice case
that I bought used last year. What's up with this? Are the original
CX-3s the new Vox Continentals, or was P.T. Barnum right...
