Subject:Re: Leslie Clone Shootout?
I've had the rocky road, the RT20, and now the vent. The rocky road was so subtle it's hardly worth considering IMO, although it's cheap. The RT 20 was better than what I had (the onboard sim in the old analog CX3) however the distortion was horrible. It was far worse than what is in the new Korg CX3 for sure. The vent, well, I finally got one, and it's everything they say it is. To my ear, all these pedals would be cool in a shootout except the vent, that almost belongs in a leslie shootout, it's so close.
At the risk of taking heat for too many music posts, if you go to http://www.soundclick.com/denniswieand and page way down on the music page (and the next page) there's a bunch of comparisons between the RT20 and the leslie 50C I have. Unfortunately it's done with a ton of ld clones, although one's with an M3, one's the old Korg CX3 (analog), and there's one with a crumar, it might be enough to get the RT20 out of consideration and get you thinking vent.
