DL'd some as wav and some as mp3's. They sound great, particularly the uncompressed wav's, as you say clean recordings and and playing is excellent. Given the past criticism of highly compressed Youtube samples used to demo the sonic characteristics of gear your provision of CD quality sound samples is a real bonus. Filesharing sites such as Rapidshare, Filetube etc all operate the same way as Sendspace with the exception that Sendspace doesn't include a Kaptcha and make you wait XX secs as freeloader. In the current world of free file sharing it doesn't get any better than Sendspace.
Thanks for sharing these high quality, well played demo's and making them available on one of the easiest to use FREE to download sites.
Cheers
Mark

J.A.,
Uh, the guy is thinking about buying a ventilator, not hiring me for a gig. These files are very well recorded, which is what he was asking for. Honestly, I'm not posting them here because I need people to hear me play, but I understand the reluctance to jump into the ventilator pool. These files were made to give an accurate comparison between a leslie and a vent, and I think they do that well, since when I first posted them nearly everyone got it wrong. If they help him make the decision (a file that was posted here did that for me) then I'm happy. And the warning about the software thing was because last time I posted from this site, people had questions about it, and there are three separate links on that page to download it. Now if you need to hear a perfect solo to determine whether you like the sound of a ventilator I think you'd probably be a lot better off not clicking the thing, because frankly, I'm just happy I managed to stomp on both
footswitches at the same time so these things speed up and stop at the same time. And besides that there's probably a good chance you wouldn't like the color grey that it's painted with, not that I think you are overly critical or anything.............
