The Vent is worth every penny…IMHO…I still have an Electro 2 and don’t know if I’ll upgrade. I don’t believe there is that big of a difference sound wise. Besides I think I’m leaning in the direction of VB3 in the future.

Get the Vent....if you think you're going to love the sim on the Electro 2, you're in for a disapointment. For it's time, it was good, but even the Electro 3's sim isn't as good as the Ventilator.

Then you'll still have drawbars, and a user interface you know.

I've been getting smaller room fill in work lately, and the leslie either doesn't fit or has to be so close that the horn hits my ear on the way around. I tried running just the onboard sim again last night at a jam and it was pure torture (now I remember why I started hauling the leslie again). So I'm real close to grabbing a vent, but there's a little voice in my head saying to go for a used electro 2 and running that with no vent. The problem with that is I live on the drawbars, although being able to leave the real wurly at home is tempting. However knowing myself I doubt I'd be happy with that wurly long. So, I did a search on the archives for clips with the CX3/vent and didn't find a lot. If someone that is using that combination live has some links to some clips I'd appreciate if you could send some links to me privately (I imagine everybody's worn out on this by now!). Also, any clips of an electro 2 with no vent would also be appreciated.
Thanks, Den
