Subject:Re: my thoughts after two gigs with my NUMA - sorry long note

Alan,

My next gig will be with the NUMA and the Ventilator.. based on a couple of the responses to my post, I expect that this will resolve my concerns with the O/D in the NUMA, and provide me with a leslie sim that's a notch better.. I have said all along that I love my ventilator, especially the close miced sounds..

However, I'm also trying to streamline my rig.. I'm really sick of carrying too much stuff around (unfortunately we rehearse at my place and by default I end up hauling the PA to and from gigs as well).. so I may make some tradeoffs here and there to keep the amount of stuff I have to carry to a minimum.

Incedentally one of my pet peeves with the NORD C2 is it's lack of pitch bend and mod wheel.. This is one of the reasons I'm considering alternative gig rigs. I'm also thinking that I could pair the NUMA with a good synth keyboard/workstation that will give me better/more sounds then my Roland Sonic Cell, and not require midi connection (one less thing to carry and one less thing that can go wrong).
