Subject:147 tone cab

Hey Goff;

I could not find a tube amp I liked for organ, so I looked for a satellite speaker box. Found an old Magnovox on ebay. It had a 15, 8 and 5" speakers already in there; old hifi stuff. Told the seller keep the guts, send the box. After a lot of dis n dat I ended up with a Leslie 147 across the bottom, 15" Jensen 16 ohm speaker, One of SE's crossovers, a Selenium driver with a screw on 4-5" plastic horn diffuser. I drive it with a Trek UC1A  I had here; 1/4" in and 6 pin out, simple. The amp rocks and can be driven to break up nice the way we push our Leslie cabs on occasion. I also have a 6 pin cable wired up for 110v and audio signal if I don't want to bring the Trek pre on some smaller gigs that don;t  have to be loud. It's about half the size of my 145 and rocks! Of course the smaller cab does not generate that deep bass with a wood rotor moving it around, but any organ into the Vent and this rig is right on the money in my opinion.
