Hi Joey,
Tell me more about your SFX100 mod! I've been using mine for probably 3-4 years adding the Vent a yr and a half ago, and my 145 hasn't come out since I got it.
How does it sound with the new speaker and what did you use?
Thanks,
Bill

Subject: [CWSG] Ventilator mod
Received my Vent back from Bruce at Ashby Solutions this week. It needed a
little attention, and I had him perform the mod where the "rotors" come to stop
in the forward position while he had it. Obviously I have an older unit. Very
pleased with the change. My take on doing the mod is that I perceived the
digital rotors in the Vent as dropping in signal strength when they came to
random rest. A real cabinet maintains the the same signal strength as we know,
and can still be heard albeit at a little lower level depending on where the
real rotors park themselves.
As usual, YMMV, but I thought it was worth having done; Thank you Bruce. FWIW, I
gig with either my NC2, NE3, or HS XK-1 with either a custom 147 powered tone
cab amp, or a GrooveTubes sfx with a recently refitted 10" coaxial woofer. Yes,
I like to tinker, but that's gotten old these days. I play in 2 bands; one doing
originals along the lines of Allmans, The Band... the other is covers, Motown,
old school rock and roll. JoeyGB3NY.
