I was not completely convinced that the Ventilator was what I wanted but since I could find absolutely no one that
regretted their purchase I bought one. It sounds better (IMHO) in person with my XK-3c than any demo I have heard
and was $500 well spent. You can over analyze these things to death but at the end of the day if it sounds good to
you that's all that matters. No one's opinion is more important than your own when you are talking about the
sound of your own instrument's.

This is my feeling as well. The Lex had a more realistic ramp character
as regards the lower rotor and I was looking to hear if there was a
typical randomness to the interacting of both rotors (on both the Vent
and the Lex) that you find on a real Leslie. My peeve with sims is they
are too repetitive with much of the randomness of the two rotors
intertwining, missing. The over drive on the Vent was much better but
the "sterile" ramp interactions leaves me unamused, so far from the
demos I've heard. Out of the box the Lex seems to be a better organ
Leslie although its drive sounds too transistorized, while the Vent had
a more "tubey" OD to its tone.

I think the rise and fall time and especially the delay between the
bass and treble rotors are more realistic on the Lex, however I suspect
the vent might be tweakable in that area. The vent has the better
overdrive but other than that the units are quite alike and both soung
great.
