Subject:Re: Studiologic Numa organ OS update?
I have the very Numa that was "reviewed" by another member of this list
and I would like to say the following-
I have had NO expression pedal issues or volume dropouts using a Roland
EV-5
The leakage characteristic sounds very close to my 1962 B-3 ... even down
to which notes have more or less leakage and the overtones that accompany
them.
The pitch bend wheel works well enough for me. I have not used them very
much in the past but as far as I can tell it is functional and bends pitch at
even the slightest touch of the lever.
All of the presets work fine, but F#, G# and A# require that I lift my
hand from playing the keyboard before I can switch. For my default I just use
something other than the B preset. Since I only use about 4 or 5, there are
plenty for me. The presets remember my percussion , chorus and leslie
settings. Any black preset , and also C# and D# work continuously from chord to
chord.
The B preset for some reason wants to return to a somewhat clean slate that
I don't quite understand. I just make C my default. Let's see what happens
with there OS update.
I was in Seattle this past weekend and got to hear no less than three of
the other clones that are available from Guitar Center. I'll still take the
Numa over any of them - and at this point the Numa is significantly more
affordable.
