Input/output impedances on the RV5 may have something to do with
changing the energy of the signal. Also guitar type pedals are meant
for guitar type frequencies. The NE2's output may be different from
that of the impedance-out of a guitar jack. And then the output of the
RV5 is wanting to go into a guitar type amp with another set of
impedance values. The NE2 does not have a loop circuit so you are stuck
going through the reverb pedal/device. A better reverb device with
closer input/output impedances matching the output of the NE2 and then
matching the input of your keyboard amp system might help. Or a mixer
with dedicated loops and an effects send, placing the reverb at the
mixer instead of the NE2's output. An Alesis Nanoverb has ok reverb
tones, is not expensive, but its not a pedal if pedals are your thing.
Other than that, the better reverbs, discreet more expensive ones will
surely add to the experience. TC electronics, Lexicon. Speed is a
function of money, how fast do you want to go?

My question is what is the best type of reverb (Room, Hall, Plate,
Spring) to use with classic rock styles? If anyone else uses this
pedal, can you please include your RV-5 settings?
