I've actually been very pleased with my VR-760. Although I wish it had separate outputs for the organ, it fits my needs quite nicely. It covers organ tones very well (although maybe not as well as some other choices) and can also produce a wide variety of other tones, especially when maxxed out with SRX cards.

And... it has drawbars!

I tried a VR760 and didn't like it at all. As you say, it didn't seem to do anything particularly well and it was large and heavy. This VK-8M, though, is pretty good at doing the one thing I want it for.
