The day I bought an 8M there was a 700 in the store. I tried it,
curious as it had drawbars and could do some other things, but was not
satisfied with the sound. As with anything electronic, something has to
give otherwise it makes engineering other units for sale useless in
that it competes with your own product. If you want bars, keys and some
other sounds but not too picky about how they sound, then the 700 is
your ax. Jack of all trades master of none.
