Subject: [CWSG] Re: Help with VK-8m
I have been TRYING to tell this to people on this list for such a long
time. The VK8m is a real sleeper.
It's been out for 8 years now and very few people get it.
It looks like Ken is going to be one of the first to try a combination of
VK8m and Ventilator. That ought to be interesting.
I have found a cool way to use the VK8m and the Numa together though. I
can use the VK8m for bass on the lowest 2 octaves of the Numa. This way I
have 4 full octaves on the Numa AFTER the 2 octave split. An alternative to
2 manuals! The Numa controller also offers me the ability to have pedal
bass mixed with manual bass from the VK8m.
I really wish Roland would do an update on it. It's been in their catalogue
for a long time. The VR700 didn't really take off and to me( someone
else was offended by this) it really wasn't an improvement over the VK8/8m.
A
leslie sim update would be nice at least.
