I saw Rod Stewart perform years ago, was there at sound check, and his
band was all IEM, no amps on stage except for drums, and Leslie which
was under the stage. When FOH was shut off, the band kept playing.

Something fun to do if you ever run sound with a band that has little
or no
stage sound, is while the band is playing, bring the PA drive all the
way down.
THE BAND KEEPS PLAYING like nothing happened! It is totally funny to
see. It
sounds very strange since the only thing you can hear are drums,
vocals, maybe
an acoustic guitar, and some rather weak electric guitar strings, bass
and keys
are totally gone.
