Subject:Hearing aids, was: MUSIC and Tinnitus and Hearing loss ??

While we're on the subject, has anyone started using hearing aids? A couple of years ago I looked into it and got prices of around $6,000 and was reading that they only last a couple of years. That's when I decided that I'd ignore the ringing and live with the hearing loss the best I could. Has anyone had any better experiences with hearing aids?
