A VOTE FOR MONO when playing out

I have a keyboard PA which gives me the choice of stereo or mono on both piano and organ (Voce V5-Morley volume pedal-Ventilator-mixer).

Since I often sit off to one side of the band, near one of my two PA speakers, the organ, even on chorale/slow, sounded "lobey". On fast it made me seasick. Started to experiment with moving the two channel pans closer to straight up/mono. Did some recording tests and decided that live, if it bothered me, it would bother someone in the audience sitting off to the side.

Add that to the VERY subtle stereo effect from my piano keyboard (Yamaha P90) and I decided to make life simpler and just go mono.

It also helps in circumstances where there's a big house PA and they want DI's.. used to be four, now only two, for the keyboards.

Recording, of course everything should be stereo.
