Subject:Why I bought a Numa organ today

First, let me thank all of you for providing to me good information over the years. I am writing to the list since I today bought a Numa organ, in the hope that it would be a setup that is (1) featherweight but (2) can support pedals. It arrives in a few days, and I do not yet have it.

I welcome your comments on what I say below.

A. My analysis:

--The Nord Electro (which I own) is lightweight but has no true pedal channel.

--The Hammond XK3 system (which I own) has a great pedal channel but is heavy for my weak and old body, so I use it as my home setup.

--The Voce (which I own) is lightweight and has a pedal channel but is like a brain in a vat with no arms and legs.

--The Korg I used to own and combine with the Voce to drive pedals, but I eventually sold it to buy the XK3 since the Korg seemed shrill in the high octave to my ear.

B. My daring:

I have taken a risk in that I have bought the Numa online without knowing clearly what the pedal drawbars sound like. On the other hand, if the Numa has pedal drawbars that sound truly, I will be happy. (If Nord had put a true pedal channel into its Electro 3, I would have bought one to replace my older Electro. Numa grabbed my business from Nord because it has a pedal channel in its one-manual offering.)

C. My cheapness:

I am hoping to avoid a Ventilator and Ocean Beach Digital Drawbar purchase by getting the Numa organ (instead of another Nord).

D. Whither the Nord C2?

The C2 organ may be something I eventually buy in addition to the Numa,is nusing each for a different kind of situation. But the Nord line of keyboards has not been ideal for me, despite the many things I like about it, since I never was able to approximate what I could do with regular drawbars with Nord's pushbutton drawbars.
