Subject:Re: Numa Organ controller question
Hi James,
Playing the preset keys on splitting the manual was an option considered for a while, ( it appears in a beta user manual ), but it was ditched, I was told on, the say so of JD himself.
From the manual...
You can also use your NUMA Organ as a master keyboard, providing
full MIDI note velocity dynamic range to other sound expanders.
Press Fatar dynamic TOUCH. The button lights up. Now the MIDI
notes will be sent with the full MIDI velocity range through the MIDI
output and USB.
If Fatar dynamic TOUCH is active, the Modulation / Rotary wheel
will send the standard MIDI modulation message (MIDI CC 01),
an attached Sustain pedal will send the standard MIDI sustain
message (MIDI CC 64) and an attached Expression pedal will send
the standard MIDI expression message (MIDI CC 11) through the
MIDI output and USB. In that case, the Leslie rotor speed cannot be
controlled and changed by the Modulation / Rotary wheel or the
sustain pedal. <<
In actual fact there are three settings, Dynamic touch off..only Numa plays, Dynamic Touch on.... organ muted.. midi keyboard/module only plays and third, Numa Organ and midi module play, Numa Organ now responds to deep trigger. Would have been nice if organ could have retained shallow trigger and module responded to velocity, and extra playing keys would have been a nice option too.
