MRK,
It's interesting that you mention this "stiffness" in the Numa keyboard.. the day I spent with the NUMA I noticed a tiny bit of "stiffness" as well, that I didn't mention in my previous review, because I really thought it was quite an insignificant thing (and I actually thought it was probably just my bad technique). I'm not sure that I would actually have called it "stiffness", what I noticed was that when I played some really fast runs with Percussion On, it seemed to me that I had to play a passage just a little more staccato than I normally would, in order for the percussion to re-trigger properly.
Again it was really was a non-issue and it probably wasn't any different than the subtle difference between one hammond and another.. but it is nice to hear that you have found that with some use the keyboard has "settled in" nicely..
I really do love the NUMA!! and it would be nice if I still had it to try it on a gig with my band. When they have a two manual version, I just might pick one up!!
Regards,
Craig MacDonald

There was some discussion on Keyboard Corner regarding Brian's input on the
Numa. It gets his sound, doesn't it?
One of the things I notice about the Numa when I play it is that the top
octave has a nice taper on the high end. It doesn't seem to get shrill at
all.
Brian seems to be putting the upper register through its paces here. And he
is able to articulate rapidly on the keyboard.
I have also really come to like the key action of the Numa....it seems to
loosen up nicely after a couple weeks break in time.
