How long does it take to set up a Wurlitzer? You put it on the stage
back down, you screw in the 4 legs, you grab each side and pull it up
(or do so with a band-mate or trusted groupie - one at each end), you
screw in the sustain pedal cable, you plug in the cord to the amp -
you're done - 5 minutes maybe? Too long? Get a heavy duty 'X' stand;
you crank it open and lift the piano onto it, screw in the pedal and
plug in the cord - 2 minutes maybe? What I've found is that limiting
myself to only one beer while setting up and foregoing flirting with the
females who flock around while setting up (didn't we just talk about
this one?) can save a lot of time!
