Subject:Re: VK-8m a viable alternative?

I had a lot of problem with this shrill too. I kept experimenting with different speakers and amps until I found a solution that met my budget, a set of speakers that don't have as much high end. I have been wondering if maybe the Roland designed this to sound correct with authentic amps and speakers (which did not put out as much high end). I wonder if you hooked up a B3 to new speakers and amp if the high notes wouldn't sound shrill too.

My recent posts were not to bash other brands. They were only responses to someone saying something incorrect about the Roland. I hate to see a reader get rid of something based on incorrect information. It would be better to get to know how to get around an issue first. I don't think any clone is the best. Perhaps the Roland is one of the least favorite clones, but MOST (not all) of the reasons given for not liking the VK series are incorrect. My intentions are only to help a fellow VK owner.
