Subject:Re: should I sell my VK8 and buy a Nord C2

The two manual VK88 offers many ways to switch the leslie. The manual shows how to use the menu to take advantage of these methods:
1. The D beam you mentioned.
2. The leslie buttons left of the lower manual (default).
3. The bender switch which resembles an authentic leslie switch.
4. With the foot pedals you can set the (2) side switches on the swell pedal to brake and speed (my favorite).
5. You can even set the velocity of the keys to trigger the leslie.

> In addition, the VK8 has the very trigger happy keyboard which I found to be a dealbreaker. Also, the VK8M has no hardware input for a rotary speed switch so speed control has to be done over MIDI, by modifying the hardware, or somehow integrating the D-beam into your set up.
