That makes it come through the rotors which is not natural although en
vogue these days....but then thru a Vent, does it really go "through the
rotors?" That means any overdrive you add to the Vent will overdrive the reverb
tone as well. Reverb would take the place of a large hall or church so the
reverb sound would be AFTER the Leslie, with dry rotors. Some pros use a
separate amp/speakers for hardware reverb signals apart from the Leslie. Same for
recording, a reverb signal or effect would be placed after the Leslie as
reverb going thru the Leslie washes out its appearance in the mix. If you
indulge yourself to hear only your instrument, then you forego its placement in
the overall mix of the band/song. When Hammond installed Fisher reverbs in
their consoles, it was never meant to go through a Leslie, but a Hammond tone
cabinet.
