Subject:Re: Getting results with a Numa

I am going to chime in here.. I don't agree that external EQ is required for the NUMA to sound great. I would suggest that "out of the box", without any tweaking whatsoever, it sounds fantastic and as I have said several times before, it's about the best sounding Hammond clone that I have heard/played to date (although I have to say that I haven't tried the SK,Ventura, or KeyB yet). I plug my NUMA straight into my QSC K10's and it sounds fantastic.. surprisingly warm and realistic sounding in every way.

The fact is, that every B3 sounds a bit different, and on top of that everyone has a different perspective on what B3 sound they like, so I'm not surprised to hear someone say that they EQ the NUMA a certain way, because they're trying to make their clone sound like their B3, or get a particular hammond sound that they like. That shouldn't surprise anyone, and neither should it take away from the quality of the clone itself.

The NUMA has everything down perfectly.. raw tones, Chorus/Vibrato, Percussion, pedal tones etc. etc. The fact that someone likes to apply a bit of EQ or likes to use a certain speaker combination is just a matter of them creating THAT B3 sound that their looking for.

The NUMA sounds fantastic right out of the box.
