That's a bit of a controversial point.. it's called a KRONOS rather than an OASIS 2 purposely to distinguish it from the OASIS, but it's built on the OASIS architecture. I've heard it suggested that they did this on purpose so that OASIS owners would not expect that KORG update their OASIS's with the new sounds and features.

The fact is however that it does have some differences, for instance it has the Korg SG piano engine, which I don't think the OASIS had, and these pianos sound spectacular.. it also has a bunch of new expansion libraries and a different keybed.
