Thanks, that's really good to know about the tonal differences of those two options, and especially the reminder about the safety factor with 120 volt AC.

I have to say that the Leslie 145 with my Combo Preamp does sound excellent. I'm very impressed with the Nord too, but I want to experiment with adding some analog warmth by judiciously trying an in-line tube preamp, assuming it's doable.

An effective rail switch will take some work, but since I play bass pedals sometimes it's a necessity. One thing I've decided is to use a small plastic project box to isolate any wiring that could conceivably become detached or cause any problems. I recall the days when I played an old 1947 Hammond CV and I used to sometimes get zapped with small shocks when I touched a metal rail. Back then I was too stupid to realize how dangerous that was. Amazing!
