I was really surprised when I found, in my case, that a Roland keyboard was to be the biggest clunker. In this case, an RD-300SX. I loved everything about it at the time until the main board crapped out and I had to wait nearly FIVE MONTHS for a replacement board to arrive from China! That soured me on Roland products from that point on.

I don't know - one of the few pieces of gear I owned that gave me a lot
of trouble was my Roland VK-7. It sounded sweet, but it began to crash
and screw up at too many jobs - it was a nightmare. I know that Roland
makes high quality instruments, but it is always possible to get a clunker.
