The first question I would have to ask would be, was this a mail order
purchase?

More and more people are buying instruments online and this might be one of
the risks. Getting a lemon can happen with any manufacturer, though I have
had the best luck with gear from Yamaha and Roland ( your story may be
different).

I bought a Nord Electro in 2005 and it lasted a total of about 3 hours of
demo use before it went totally belly up. Hopefully Nord has improved the QC
since. Not knocking Nord per se but these things happen- with computers
and instruments.

Regarding the Numa, I am not getting any line noise from mine personally.

I knew I was getting an untested product when I got mine ( I bought it
locally), but the temptation of getting the Key B sound engine at an affordable
price was too great. I knew I would have to deal with getting it dialed in
to a good amp and speakers, but that also happens.

As I recall , a lot of people awhile back were spending some big dollars
on preamps to "warm things up ", modeling amps, high powered road leslies
and outboard leslie sims. In many cases the cost of all this would be quite
high.

With the Numa, all I did was match it up to some gear I had lying around. I
haven't needed any of the boutique outboard stuff. There is no need for a
leslie or even a leslie sim.

I am glad the Key B is coming out , and I wish Elvio all success. But
what are you going to do if there is a warantee or repair issue on the Key B?
Or on the Crumar Mojo for that matter? Will you have to send it back to
Italy?

If you didn't already know, the Numa comes with a full 2 year warantee .
Check that against some of the competition. You might be surprised.

I am happy with the sound of it, and I am very picky. So picky that I
avoided a lot of gear that was touted to be the latest and greatest during the
past 10 years or so.

With the Numa, not needing a leslie, not having to dodge around chorus
vibrato issues and basically getting the sound I needed sold me on it. I don't
care how many features an instrument has , if I can't get it to sound like
a Hammond in every important respect then I am not going to vote for it
with my dollar.
