I recently noticed that and was scratching my head. Didn't realize it was across the board. Thank you for pointing that out. What were they thinking?
Unrelated, what do you think of the on-board organ samples and have you tried the soft synth organ which comes bundled with the MOX? I played a few on-board Hammond samples with the MOX with a classic rock band and my bandmates didn't make faces at me. It certainly wasn't clone quality but I am not sure anyone listening really cared. The samples seemed light years ahead of the organ samples on my old Yamaha S-90. And I could do slides more easily than on my Hammond XK-1. For organ action, I thought the MOX was pretty good. Piano action--not so good. But I didn't buy the board to play piano parts except when necessary.
I play a digital piano and am tired of carrying three boards to the gig-the third being a Hammond clone.
Since the MOX has some form of built-in midi interface, I didn't know if was time for me to finally try using a soft synth along with my hard synths. The worst that can happen is the computer won't work and I will fall back on the hardware synths.

Rick,
I have an MOX6 too. The low output is because most of the preset sounds have the
volume level set to between 60-80 (on a scale of 127). Just raise the default
output level for each preset and you'll be fine.

I bought the new JBL 515 XT and after gigging with it for less than a month, I
like it. It is 14 pounds lighter than my previous JBL Eon 15G2, has more power
and three inputs on the back which is a nice touch. It seems to produce a clean
decent sound.
I have heard all of the laudatory comments about the QSC series but decided I
wanted a 15 inch speaker and a light cabinet. The three inputs on the JBL were
an added bonus.
I listened to the QSC speakers in Guitar Center and I didn't go "wow" as in they
were clearly better than everything else out there.
The only issue I recently experienced had to do with hooking up my new Yamaha
MOX 6 board. Its signal is not hot enough to go out of the first two inputs on
my new JBL. The third input has a built in gain boast for a microphone which
works to boast the gain of the board. It does create a little unwanted noise
which didn't thrill me. I didn't know whether to complain to JBL that its new
powered speaker doesn't seem to play my new board loud enough through the non
mic inputs or to Yamaha for putting out a Motif light which doesn't send out a
very hot signal.
Of course, I can use a mixer and boast the gain at the mixer level but that
defeats one of the purposes of using the new JBL--avoiding the need to bring a
separate mixer to the gig.
And, I can also use the third input with the mic boast. I did this at a recent
outdoor concert and I got nothing but compliments on my sound. Of course, I was
hooked into a $100,000 FOH system with a decent sound engineer. Isn't that the
key anyway? No serious keyboard player is expecting the audience to get all of
his sound from his monitor.
