Subject:Did anybody tried E-MU Vintage Pro (volume 3 B3, Wurli, Clavinet , Rhodes) ?
Hi All,
Wondered about this CD brings if anybody in the forum has an opinion about the sound quality Hammond of B3 presets, guess derived from known hardware 90's platform: EMU Proteus 2000 rack.
http://cgi.ebay.com/EMU-Vintage-X-Pro-Volume-3-Keyboards-/310195411761?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4839165b31#shId
Will find there same quality as sounds found in VB3 organ , beyond of considering that the last are modeled sounds rather than sampled ?
Caveat: it requires as pre-requisite an installed version of Proteus -X (mine) or Emulator-X box, running DSP enabled PCI board like E-MU 0404 (S/PDIF coax and optical connectors along with ADAT socket).
They can be got used at eBAY along with new units of E-MU 0404 PCI cards, found it at www.thomman.de at EURO 59, this is under $90 dollars.
That's known major German musical chain online seller.
The differences over other SoundFonts would be that having hardware DSP, it can play lot of instruments simultaneously with zero latency.
Appreciate your feedback.
Best,
Rafael
