I've been using spotify for the last two and a half years, and with offline
downloads on my iphone for about 18 months. I appreciate it is new for the
US, but Europe has had it for ages.

However, I suggest some caution. It is great while the songs you want are in
the library. However, the record label mafia are slowly eroding the content
- either by demanding songs are removed or by demanding higher and higher
prices from Spotify so they are forced to either remove the content or
increase prices (or change the advertising model).

That said, the library is impressive as you say, and I've learnt about a lot
more music than I would have done without it. It's just a shame it doesn't
have decent discovery options like Pandora (which I can no longer use in the
UK). I'm sure that will come though!
