Hi Bobby, thanks for asking about VB3 2.0. Here's the situation: all the sound engine of VB3 version 2 is now complete and is exactly what's inside the current VB3HE2 (VB3 Hamichord Edition 2) which is running in the Hamichord and in the Mojo, ergo, what you heard in that video.
The real problem is the GUI, and believe me when I say that that's the thoughest part of making a virtual instrument. The GUI for the Hamichord Edition is a stripped-down version of what should be the complete version, there's practically nothing because it has to be controlled by the hardware, but the plugin version should have all the drawbars, all the AUDIO and MIDI parameters, the preset management, a whole lot of other things that require much time to be completely set up and tested.
In the last months I dedicated my time to VB3HE2, to the new Key Performer 2 (which is complete, I have still to write the manual and test the Mac version), plus I worked at the controller firmware of the Mojo, among many other things.
I can't promise anything, but I hope I can make it by the end of this year. As I already said elsewhere, I'm planning to make two distinct versions: a PLAY version which will be much like the current VB3 1.4, and a PRO version which will offer the "Organ Lab" where you can customize every single bit of the virtual tonewheel organ, from the single tonewheels values (in mVpp) to the resistor wires (in Ohms) to the vibrato scanner delay line (every single tap in nanoseconds), everything. But I recognoze that my project is very ambitious, and this will surely require much time.
Guido.
