Subject:About old Crumar and new Crumar...
Hi everybody, Guido here.
I happened to read some of your posts here on the list (I seldom visit the Yahoo groups and only via browser) and I saw some of you are concerned about the quality of the new Crumar instruments compared to the old ones.
First, please let me thank you for your words of appreciation on the instrument and the on the video I posted. The guy playing the organ in that video is me, and that is my studio. I hope to make some new videos soon but with some real organist this time :) Keep an eye at my Youtube page.
The new Crumar has nothing to do with the old Crumar. The current owners of the trademark are two entities, one is BG's as a Company and the other one is Andrea Agnoletto. The makers of the new Crumar Mojo are: me (software), Andrea Agnoletto (electronics) and Andrea Baldassari of BG's (hardware), and none of us has or has ever had any connection with someone of the old Crumar. Personally, I don't even know who they were, and the only old Crumar instrument I've ever seen in my life was a DS-2.
I know that Andrea Baldassari's parents were friends with family Crucianelli of Crumar, but there is practically nothing left of the old Crumar factory, which I guess went out of business in the 80's.
Ah, and for the record, we are young (36, 34 and 25) so we can't "mathematically" (or "chronologically") be the same people who used to make the old Crumars back in the days :)
That said, I hope you appreciate our efforts in trying to make a well-sounding, lightweight and affordable clone organ that could meet everyone's requirements without too many compromises.
And yes, I feel your love, so... big Thanks! :)
Guido.
