My son lived in Japan during one of his school semesters and he said the
Japanese are absolutely insane about practice - practice for anything. He said
they are extremely diligent and regimented about practicing every day and they
do it for long periods of time. When he said "insane" above, he actually really
means it. Some will practice so long and hard at some things that they actually
start to go nuts after a while.

Let's see, did I practice my scales today? :-)

They are training young children in Japan to play Hammond Organ???????

This seems serious. I wish I could have gone to THAT school. Instead, the
United States seems to be spending its education budget to make students
suffer...

This looks serious. And notice that the signs and the t shirt are written
in English.
