Yeah, it works for Behringer, huh?

These manufacturers only need to do a little research to find out what we want. The Ventilator is a huge hit among clone players." Hmmmm. Maybe we ought to buy one and copy it?"

Actually, to be more precise:  2 people from that forum have had system crashes, but haven’t verified which OS they have.  Myself and others have experienced no problems.  The leslie sim is as good as any other on board sim out there (and better than most) but the overriding criticism is it’s not as good as the Ventilator (what is!), and that’s disappointing some people.   The overdrive needs work, but I think Dave is the only person who thinks the overdrive was happening on the XK3c.  While I never owned an XK3c, I owned an XK3 and Xk1 for years, as well as the XK2 and XM1 and XM2 modules, and I thought the overdrive was wrong on all those instruments.  I don’t think anyone there really understands what we’re looking for in terms of overdrive, and therein lies the problem.
The percussion and the C/V is definitely an improvement over the XK1 and XK3 (and if Dave says any of those are better than the XK3c, I’d believe it).
I used mine on all 3 gigs this weekend, but only as an organ.  While I spent Thursday nite going through the presets, I really didn’t have time to integrate it into the rig as anything other than an organ.  YET.

There are a few reviews on the Keyboard Magazine forum. In a nutshell...

Pros: weight, keyboard feel, can play two voices at the same time.

Cons: major system crashes when using non organ sounds, overdrive buzzy, still need a ventilator

It uses the same organ engine as the xk3c, but seems to have a superior chorus vibrato and inferior overdrive section. Most are disappointed that the leslie sim is not state of the art.

Users are still waiting for updates from Suzuki to solve the operating system crashes.

I thought at least one of our forum members said they were expecting their new SK1's yesterday... so where are the reviews?? I checked my email this morning expecting to get the scoop (rather than the hype), and nothing...?
