I'm not savvy enough to do the mod without good instructions. Maybe if I google long enough to find the info I could, but I'd be better off practicing and just making due. I'd be happy to pay for good instructions. I don't expect anyone to work for free.

If this is only a part time thing. As long as you don't lean on it hard. You can just swap 6V6 tubes for the 6550's. Wattage now approx 10W. Long term use will require the amp to be rebiased. Hope this helps...

You would be better off lowering the output of the amp from within.
