Subject:OT: Attenuator on a Leslie
I brought this up a long time ago and never moved forward. I tried searching the forums and couldn't find a post I seem to recall Bruce had made.
I'd like to buy a power attenuator for my B3/145 rig. Can anyone recommend a good attenuator? I'm looking at Weber's products and see they have several that might work. http://www.tedweber.com/atten.htm
Do I understand correctly, that the attenuator would go in-between the amp and the crossover? If anyone has done this or knows what needs to be done I'd appreciate the input. I contacted weber and this was their response:
I’m afraid we’ve never had this question before.
I don’t know if one of our attenuators will work, as I don’t believe the
connections from speaker to amp are standard ¼” plugs. If I’m wrong, then
perhaps the mass 100 attenuator would work for you.
