Yes, Yamaha was great and innovative in the past, let's say until
1998, after this something has changed and they are sleeping
concerning synthesizers. Just think of CS series, DX/TX, KX, G10 MIDI
guitar, WX wind controllers, SY99, VL1, VP1, AN1x, EX5, FS1R, PSR9000
Pro, Tyros and more... Excellent instruments and many new ideas.
After 2000 only not so special Motif. But digital pianos, top
keyboards, Electone organs and studio + PA gear are OK.

Roland had also weak years after JD800/JD990, which is slowly
changing few last years and they go up again. Look at the new Jupiter
80.

I think Korg is very good in last 10 years, they have nice products.
Oasys, M3 and Kronos are really good.
