Excellent point.

It is my contention that in a live band environment the average
audience member could not tell the difference between a crappy
simulator and a good one. It comes down to more than that. Its how we,
as players and artists, react to the sound that we create through our
instruments. As a good friend of mine says, "We should not compromise
our art just because the audience does not notice it."
