Animation is the hallmark of a Leslie. The fact that you can go from random
rotor positions adds to the character. I would think that always starting
from "front" would be limiting. Have you ever noticed that back in the day,
older cartoons used to have more animation to them? Now its static
"movements." Sometimes its fun to just burst or bump the rotors from stop and then
back. Wherever the position, the rotors have an almost unlimited ability to
animate. Try listening to each rotor as it spins independent of each other, not
in tandem, and that is true leslie control..knowing what the top rotor is
doing in relation to the bottom and perceiving these two parameters as
separate effects and events.
