Bruce, yea, I noticed that too. That's why I added a bit of verb. My leslie is in a concrete block wall room, and is kind of reflective. I do that so the sound has something to bounce off of. I used to record them in a dead room, but I like the sound bouncing everywhere, so I've been doing that method instead of the traditional method. I have a feeling when they modeled the vent, they recorded in a dead room. You can hear no room whatsoever in the direct vent out. THis is probably best for the effect, because that way whatever reverb is needed can be added later to match whatever else is on the rest of the tracks, but I don't think that gives you the doppler effect like actually bouncing it off the wall. It'd be cool if he had a knob for room size, but that's asking way too much.
And yea, the Korg still feels the best to me out of all the clones out there. And as much trouble as you had deciding to get rid of yours is how much trouble I had not buying yours when you had it for sale. I knew the money wasn't there or I'd have had yours, I miss two manuals something aweful!
