Great job of recording them, Den. By the way, I think if you wanted to
make them even a little closer, you could play around with the Distance
control on the Vent (and maybe the Balance, too) and dial them in almost
dead-on. The main difference that I hear is that the Vent's 'close mic'
effect is a little more pronounced. Not that this is a *bad* thing, but
it probably accounts for most of the difference. The rest is about the
same as you'd get if you mic'ed two different Leslies and ran the tests.
It also goes to show that the CX-3 is still a great choice for Hammond
tones. I just sold my BX-3 a couple of months ago, and it was *very*
hard to part with it, after spending months (years?) tweaking it to my
liking. In my case, it was lack of room -- both on stage and in my home
-- that led me to get rid of mine, nothing else.
